A moka pot brews espresso style coffee on the stovetop with nothing but water, ground coffee and heat. This one is built from aluminum and 430 stainless steel, and because 430 steel is magnetic the base works on an induction hob as well as gas, electric, ceramic and halogen. The matte yellow body and wood look handle are meant to sit out on the counter rather than live in a cupboard.

Add water to the lower chamber, stopping below the safety valve, fill the funnel with ground coffee and scrape it level rather than packing it down, then screw the top on and heat. After four to eight minutes the coffee runs up into the upper chamber. Take it off the heat within a minute of that point so the base does not scorch. Induction output varies from hob to hob, so start on a medium setting rather than full power. The handle is heat resistant BPA free plastic in a wood look finish, and an Italian style safety valve releases excess pressure.
