A cuckoo clock stripped back to a plain house shape, with a shuttered window above the dial and no carving anywhere. On the hour the window opens, the bird comes out and calls the hour, then goes back in and the window shuts. It counts properly: five calls at five o'clock, and the wings open on each one.

It reports the hour between 7am and 9pm and stays silent overnight, so it does not wake the house. Volume is adjustable on the back, alongside reset and hour adjustment buttons, and a pendulum swings below the case. It hangs on a wall or stands on a shelf.

Setting it takes a moment: turn the hour hand to the correct local time, fit the batteries, then press ADJUST once for each hour to bring the chime into step with the dial. Batteries are not included. Five colors.
